Information technology is the use of computer technology, network infrastructure, and other electronic devices to communicate and manage information. Careers in IT are among the fastest-growing professions, for good reason, since information technology is used to solve problems and support overall operations in most businesses and organizations.

It's all up to you. Today there are many online opportunities to learn and become extremely proficient in many IT skills that can prepare you for a job in the industry. Anyone who has the ability, the interest, and the passion to learn a new IT skill can do this today.

Most of the training and learning will be accomplished online and you will work at your own pace. If Covid-19 protocols permit, we may also have opportunities to participate in face-to-face meetups for some workshops.

Participants will receive guidance to begin an initial area of IT training based on interest and aptitude. However, this training will be just the beginning of a lifelong journey and a commitment to excel in the industry.

Once you are familiar with the range of possible IT jobs, you will select an IT focus area such as project management, UX design, or software engineering. These are just examples. The sensitization workshop and the exercises you engage in during the session will help you to identify the best career path for you based on your interests and your strengths.

Participants will work at their own pace. However, we anticipate that you will be able to complete at least one certification in approximately 4-6 months. The amount of time each person invests in learning prior to beginning the job search will vary.

There is no cost for the program.

If you are consistent, perform well, and successfully complete your online IT training, you will be equipped with the tools you need to apply for your first IT job. We will work with you to engage local businesses that are looking to hire in the IT field.
